Easter Sunday started with a "Car Crash"....litterally...

So after getting home from Jeep Safari I met up with Darren at our in-law's to enjoy Easter Sunday. Well Chelsea (Darren's sister) brought her friend Dan over and wanted to go on a short horse ride, so Darren and I (in flip flops and jeans) decided to saddle up and go for a short road walk. After venturing 2 blocks away from the house we decided to turn off the main road into a neighborhood. (Just a little back ground Darren is riding my new horse we got for Christmas- 'Oro' has only been trained for 3 months and isn't 100% yet...) Well everything is going smooth until up ahead a little boy is coming down the road on one of those 'push' razor scooters, Oro instantly spooks at the sight of this little boy riding twards him and starts running sideways to get away from it at the perfect instant a huge SUV Denali is coming down the road. Oro throws himself and Darrens poor body into the front side of this SUV breaking the side view mirror and denting the panel. Talk about one of the scariest things is to see your husband and your horse (whom you treat like your child) getting hit by an SUV. Darren's leg took the brunt of the blow and his elbow, Oro was fine just a little shaken up... But thats how we started out Easter.. a Car Crash!

Here is a pic of Oro on Christmas day, and a pic of me riding him in January.
