Corbin turned 3

Corbin McCoy Robinson!

Since I have absolutely NO energy these days, my poor kids birthday party turned into an email invite, show up and eat a cupcake at Chuck E Cheese. It went something like this...

BUT the good news is my Dad and Lisa were able to make the trip up so we celebrated Miriam's Bday too. Miriam told Lisa it was, "The Best Birthday Ever". So based off that fact alone I'm calling the whole thing a success.

What a winter...

What a strange winter this has been. Corbin has only got to play outside in the snow 3 times! It is crazy it's already the end of Feb and it feels like the snow season hasn't even started..

So in the middle of February we decided to have a BBQ! Darren grilled us dinner and then we even sat around a fire and made s'mores. We had a blast.

Corbin's first day of school!

Today was Corbin's first day of pre-school. He is only 2, but since he turns 3 on the 23rd of this month, they let him start today! My sister in law Chrissie is one of the teachers there, and I am so glad he gets to go there! Hopefully he will love it and won't be too big of a handful for his teachers.

28 Weeks

Well here it is. The Bump.

Technically in this picture I'm almost 29 weeks, 28 and 5 days to be exact.. but who's counting? Let's see what's new this pregnancy??? I'm definitely poking out, I get asked by everybody I see when I'm due, I want to eat fish-n-chips with chocolate for dessert everyday (although I don't), I am already wearing my belly band full time, and this little boy is so active you can see my tummy move from across the room.

I had another dream where I could see this little guy, and he looked a lot like Corbin, but with a little bit more of my brown hair. Apparently my subconscious mind is trying to help me cope with another boy in my dreams, because in my dreams he comes out the sweetest, happiest content baby.

A girl can dream.

One of every mom's fears

Every mom has fears. Your child getting lost or worst kidnapped, getting really sick, getting hurt or needing stitches. There are a list of things that scare me about being a mother. But today one happened.

I was at the store with my mom and sister. Corbin had been running around with Brylee and Sawyer, and I told him if he didn't stop running around I was going to hold his arm and make him stand next to me. Sure enough I turn around and BAM. It happens. Corbin claims Brylee did it, but from what I gathered he was trying to climb a shelf, fell and hit his face. I picked him up and flipped him around so I could see his face and access the damage. Blood. Lots of blood. Normally it wouldn't bother me, but for some reason this pregnancy has made me very sensitive and queasy to things like blood and injuries. I can see it's localized on his lip and mouth, so my mom carried him to the bathroom for me, and we got him all cleaned up.

After staring at his bloody lip in the mirror Corbin decided all he needed was a band aid and he'd be fine. Thank goodness his teeth and everything were fine, it was only the pink part of his lip.

But it made me so sick to my stomach! I hope he can make it through April without anymore of these accidents! A few days ago Corbin got out of the car at home and took off running tward the snow ice patch on the side of our house, and before I could warn him he slipped and landed flat on his back. All he did was stand up and say, aw that hurt mom. Ha ha he's pretty tough, I just wish he didn't think he has to learn everything the hard way.

Yep. He's listening.

Let me set this story up correctly, Brittney and all the kids came over to my house Saturday night to help me with the nursery and play. 5 children under the age of 5 running around my house, while Britt and I tried to work on the nursery. During a dinner break this conversation happened:

Brittney to Sawyer "Here drink lots of water so you can grow big and strong!"

Sawyer takes a drink of the water cup. Then walks away.

Corbin asks Britt "Can I have a drink?"

Corbin takes a BIG drink, then looks down and sighs sadly, "Oh I'm sad"

Julia  "Corbin why are you so sad?"

Corbin "Cause I'm still small! WAHHH!"

Ha ha ha. He he he. Corbin heard Brittney telling Sawyer and he believed it would happen to him instantly! Sawyer could have cared less, but Brittney broke the poor kids heart.

Corbin really listens to what everyone says.
