October 30- 31, 2009
This year I went to the Buffalo round up with Darren and Don for the first time. It's an annual event every year on Antelope Island usually in October. Volunteer riders round up the Buffalo into corals so the state park can keep track of the numbers, do vaccanations, and action some off.
Darren and Don have been going for 6 years and they have never seen a horse get hurt, but this year 4 horses where gored during the round up. I was terrified of the buffalo, they are way bigger and scarier than they look so I kept my distance. But it was definately a cool experience and I want to go again next year.
